January and February Ornies......

Hmmm!  A bit behind (when am I ever not behind?) so far this year but I am now caught up, I think.

January Ornament: Winged Creatures

Dancing Witches by Needlebling Designs
Stitched on over-dyed purple linen with my own choice of floss colours.

This is what the final piece will look like one day....

(I am saving the dancing witches on the bottom for September and the tree will fit in with June's theme).

February Ornament:  Candy Corn and Food

Witch's Kitchen a freebie by The Primitive Hare
Unknown cream linen
I changed the colours quite a bit, you can see, if you look at Isabella's original piece...

I hope that you like my changes.

I am busily stitching my black cat - so maybe she will be finished by March 31st- one can only dream!

September - Spooky words

Well, things didn't go as planned last month.  The project I was working on was left in Colorado where I was visiting my sister.  Along with two other pieces in my project bag.  **sniff**

So I started this cute little project from The Primitive Hare.

Jo's April Ornament

I did rather struggle to find a tombstone I liked this month!  I'm not a fan of stitching them on their own but couldn't find a suitable larger pattern with one in.  I'd already stitched La Comtesse one that Kaye did!

So here is my work-around, the letter N from the Primitive Hare's Hallowe'en Cubes:

And here the four I have stitched so far:

They are all stitched on the same 32 count Vintage Grain linen, just photographed in different lights.

And here is La Comtesse's Haunted Castle:

June Freebie

I started my stitching for this entry very late this month. It was a very quick stitch and I just managed to finish the stitching and assemble a pincushion. I plan to add some beaded pins later, need to visit the bead section the hobby store.

Stitched with DMC 3371

Marcy's May Monster

I finished my monster yesterday.  It's Wicked Night from The Primitive Hare.  He's a bit big for a small but when I was looking for a monster pattern and came across this one, I was hooked.  I started him right away to be sure to get him finished in time.  He's stitched on 22 ct ivory hardanger with dmc 3371 and will be stained with coffee/tea to get that aged look before 'ornamentification'.

My March Witch

I am using a witch design that I just recently got done. It's a freebie from Primitive Hare blog. I love this woman's designs.

This is called Froth And Bubble. I did it on 18 Aidia cloth with Dmc floss of black, yellow, orange, off white for the face and neck of the witchs. It took me a couple of days to complete because I couldn't stay on it constantly.
