Jacquie's March and April Design

Hello, I thought I would stitch both March and April's designs all in one!  So firstly apologies that March is slightly late.

The design is an old design I found on someone's blog....I checked my source and unfortunately the address is no longer working...the design is stitched on cream 16 count Aida, all stitched with DMC threads.

Witchy Lou

Hello friends...

I thought I would try to do better this year so here is my January "witch" stitch.

The designer is David Morrill from The Stitchworks and its called "Witchy Lou".  I found this design in my digital copy of Just Cross Stitch magazine Sept/Oct 2013 issue.

I stitched it on light beige/tan (herbal tea stained) 18 count Aida, used DMC threads and black and orange beads.

July... already?!

Well yes I am a little behind... sorry :(
But stitched a pumpkin and thought YES!! July!!  Its not spooky so not very Halloweeny.. is that a word?  

Stitched on 28 count DMC beige linen

This design is a freebie and already been added to the list, under crow and pumpkin.  The original has alphabet letters surrounding the design... I left them out.

Made it into a pillow to go in my stitching basket :)

I have really enjoyed stitching this... I searched for a design to stitch but could not find one so I set about to create my first chart!

Yes its created by me!!

Its only got whole stitches and done in one color... DMC 310 - black!

Hello, I have just joined...

As I am new I thought it a great idea to introduce myself...

My name is Jacquie and I am 43 this year... eeek I dont feel that old!  I am married to Jon, a wonderful person who I love dearly.  I also have a daughter, she will be 19 this year..time flies.

Here is a photo of my daughter and I ..

I love to cross stitch, this year I challenged myself to learn to stitch on linen as I had never tried before.  I love it and now cannot stitch enough on it!  I love trying new things and experimenting too.  I pretty much dabble in any type of craft,... I will try anything once!

I have a lot of time to myself now as I had to give up work to care for my husband, after he had a works accident.  So filling my time doing stitching or making things keeps me out of trouble! 

I am a happy person and will do anything for anyone... that is just me!  I decided to join this group as I have never really stitched any Halloween designs.  I know how bad is that!  So I thought join this group and get stitching some!  Come Halloween I will have plenty to show then!
