Jo's August Finish - Spooky Words

This year I have been stitching a Just Nan band sampler called Counting Bats for our blog.  I have reached the penultimate band this month.  It's much bigger than the previous bands and now there is just a bottom border to stitch.

This band completes the rhyme I have been stitching and also features a strange outhouse with a monster inside?  Any guesses?

And the whole piece so far:

stitched on 32 count lilac linen

Nope I definitely don't want to meet a monster who has chosen an outhouse to live in haha! I have really enjoyed seeing your progress on this each month, I am going to miss it! It looks great!!

Haha I don't know who the monster is but I bet he'd scare the crap out of me! *snort* sorry couldn't resist! It looks great!

Maybe the monster is one huge big Redback Spider (after all that is the only monster that I can think of that would live in the outhouse!! :o)
Well done on a brilliant finish - it looks amazing!

I love this project.

I also love the word penultimate...and try to work it in conversations when I can. ;-)

This may well be one of my favourite bands in this design - it definitely looks like an Aussie backyard dunny (toilet). And I am with Rita, I love the word penultimate, almost as much as I love the words serendipitous and propinquity!
