Jo's August Ornament

Black cats is always a great theme, there are black cats everywhere around the internet.  But do you find sometimes that too much choice makes it harder to choose instead of easier?

I was looking through my Just Nan Hallowe'en chart collection and found one called Ghoulies and Ghosties.  It's bigger than an ornie so I just stitched the bottom part for this month and will do the rest another time.  Hopefully before Hallowe'en this year.

stitched on 28 count tan evenweave.

There's a lot of detail in this for a small piece - cats, pumpkin, toad, ghosts and spiders!  You can see the full design on Just Nan's website here - JN180 Ghoulies and Ghosties

Would have to say that the black cats is always my favourite theme, but I always struggle trying to choose which one to stitch... I love them all!!
Your kitties and pumpkin look gorgeous - what a great idea to stitch a part of the bigger design for this month. Looking forward to seeing more of this one when you get back to it :o)
Hugs xx

Very cute! Yes, I agree that sometimes there are so many cute choices that it's hard to narrow it down to just one. Of course, there's no rule that says you have to stitch just one. :-)

Cool choice ... love the toad, too. Black cats are my fav. I had the best black cat years ago named Matthew so I always enjoy stitching them.

I've noticed that quite a few ornies are made from bits of other patterns, and thought I'd give that a go. I do love the black cats and pumpkin!
