Themes for 2019

First of all, my apologies for neglecting this blog just lately.  When life gets busy, something has to give and you all seemed to be happy stitching and posting which was good.

If people would like to keep stitching into 2019 that would be wonderful.  I will do my best to join in when I can.

I had a look at the Hallowe'en SAL in Stitch Maynia and thought it would be a nice idea to follow their themes so that those of us who belong to the FB group can join in both SALs in the same month.  I expanded a couple of categories just for our blog.  So here they are:

January - H is for Haunted House
February - A is for Addams Family (or any spooky characters)
March - L is for Lantern, Jack O’
April - L is for Loot
May - O is for October
June - W is for Witch
July - E is for Eek (or anything scary)
August - E is for Eyeballs (or any body part including skeletons)
September - N is for Night
October - B is for Bat
November - O is for Orange and Black
December - O is for Owls

I did fully-finish my Hallowe'en piece for 2018 and here it is:

Jardin Prive - Happy Hallowe'en Night

Stitched on 32 count Cognac linen

I had a couple more spooky finishes in 2018:

Dam Good Crafts - Dracula

JBW - Smiling Jack O'Lanterns

Plum Street Samplers - Brew Ha Ha

Just Nan - Haunted Autumn Mouse in a House

And I completed the lettering on my Spooky conversion of The Enchanted Alphabet by Lavender and Lace:

Love your finishes. Thanks for continuing the blog. I didn't participate as often as planned, but I do love the blog. This is good motivation to continue with the #### in my stash and to FFO more of my finishes.

Hi Jo! No need to apologise.... life gets in the way for me all the time (if you haven't already noticed!!)

I am really pleased that we are going to keep going with this blog and even happier that we can follow the SM list of themes as I have already planned most of what I want to stitch for that SAL and I can now make it work for both SALs... bonus all round!!!

Hugs xx

Your finishes this year have been stunning! I still want to participate this year, but a lot of the themes don't fit charts that I have in my stash, so I may do a version of 'wild cards' for those months if that's OK? I still have a heap of ornies from last year I didn't get to stitch, plus I really want to stitch some of my Just Nan Halloween samplers, and I was hoping the themes would work for those - I'll have to revisit and see, but if not I'll still keep stitching either way :)
