Catching up June and July
Spooky Tree and pumpkins ! ! ! Stitched on 18 count aida.
In The Deep, Dark Woods
By Gaynor French
I think I'm going to tea dye the whole piece after it's stitched. Hopefully, it will look like an antique piece.

Steph's Pumpkin
Hi friends, it's July and I'm feeling like stitching Christmas, not Halloween, but I'm staying on track with my spooky rotation. Pumpkin turned out pretty cute, though the jack o'lantern is missing his eyes (tiny black buttons, I will sew on later).

Next month is the haunted house, I'm looking forward to that!

Steph's Creepy Tree
Hi friends, I'm back to share my creepy tree. Creepy took a day to stitch, not bad. The little detail in this piece is so fun.. the gravestone and the owl turned out super cute. I also went searching for brass charms to embellish this piece and found some spooky ones. I will use some of the buttons as included with the charts, but I like charms as well.

Jo's June Stitching - Creepy Trees
I've been stitching away on my chosen project for this year but forgetting to post. So here's a resume of the last three months:
April - Spiders
May - nothing Green so I stitched the rest of the word Hallowe'en

I already stitched the pumpkins for last year so I'm going to work on the graveyard and the other creepy tree for July ready for the Haunted House in August.

Steph's Green Frog
May was a super busy month with Maynia, visits, travel, etc, but luckily I was able to squeeze my Boo Club piece into one day. The frog was a fun stitch and I like that you can see the variegation of the Weeks floss in the frog's belly.

Gwen: May Green Things
I finally have something to post.
Frankie: from Praiseworthy Stitches, Halloween Frights Treat Box will eventually be needlebook.
My Candy Corn/Food finish for February is from the same set. A Candy Corn that will be finished as a scissor fob.
It's great seeing all the stitching that's getting done. I haven't had the opportunity to visit all the blogs but I'm encouraged by all of your posts. Hope to be able to contribute again next month.

Cheryl's April Spider
Instead of stitching an ornament this month, I pulled out my "Halloween Collage" sampler and stitched a spider.
"Halloween Collage" by Sharon Pope can be found in the JCS 2014 Halloween Issue.
I'm really creeping along on this project.
Here is what the entire sampler looks like:

Stephanie's Spiders
Here's my update on Boo Club... only took 1 day this time. Though, I nearly lost motivation when backstitching the spider legs! Those are a lot of tiny stitches, some over 1. And the "empty" spiders will be filled in with black buttons.
Boo Club remains a fun diversion from some of my BAPs.

Designed by Susan Aldrich . The same designer that did the candy corn I stitched last month. Freebie at www.cyberstitchers.com
This was a fun little piece to stitch.

Cheryl's Black Cat
For my March ornament, I selected a chart from the 2013 Just Cross Stitch Halloween Issue. The design is "Stitch-an-Inch Halloween" by Donna Bayliss of "By the Bay Needleart".
I stitched the pattern on 14 ct clear plastic canvas. I backed it with black felt, pinked the edge and added a black satin ribbon and purple buttons to finish.

Stephanie's Black Cat
Here's my March Boo Club stitching... cute little black cat, it will have tiny white buttons for eyes but I'll add that later. Black cats are my favorite, btw. It took 3 days to stitch this, because.... life. We booked a vacation for later this year and I got sucked into the vortex that is Disney trip planning. And I lost one of my DMC's... (the purple). Quite maddening because I had it in hand last month. Oh well, hopefully next month will be better!

Jo's March Stitching - Black Cats
I love black cats, they are my favourite of all cats and luckily my Happy Hallowe'en Night by Jardin Prive has two of them.
Here is the first one:
Next month is Spiders and there is a very small one just above the cat's head. Then I'll stitch some more of the lettering.
Here is the first one:
stitched on 32 count Cognac linen
The other cat is flying high on a broomstick so will be added later with the witch.

January and February Ornies......
Hmmm! A bit behind (when am I ever not behind?) so far this year but I am now caught up, I think.
January Ornament: Winged Creatures
February Ornament: Candy Corn and Food
January Ornament: Winged Creatures
Dancing Witches by Needlebling Designs
Stitched on over-dyed purple linen with my own choice of floss colours.
This is what the final piece will look like one day....
(I am saving the dancing witches on the bottom for September and the tree will fit in with June's theme).
February Ornament: Candy Corn and Food
Witch's Kitchen a freebie by The Primitive Hare
Unknown cream linen
I changed the colours quite a bit, you can see, if you look at Isabella's original piece...
I hope that you like my changes.
I am busily stitching my black cat - so maybe she will be finished by March 31st- one can only dream!
hugs,

February - Candy corn - AnneS
Here goes my choice for February's theme of Candy corn. Spooky Time freebie by Lizzie*Kate. I'm terrified of spiders, so stitching that charm on wasn't much fun ... I have a feeling that'll be giving me nightmares in the future when it's on display ;)
