February - Candy Corn and Food.

The white fabric with black dot will be used to finish the ornament.
I like to stitch all the ornaments along the year and then stitch at October.

Tamra's February Ornament

This month I picked an ornament from Prairie Schooler's Trick or Treat Book No. 188.  Too cute!

February - Candy corn - AnneS

Here goes my choice for February's theme of Candy corn.  Spooky Time freebie by Lizzie*Kate.  I'm terrified of spiders, so stitching that charm on wasn't much fun ... I have a feeling that'll be giving me nightmares in the future when it's on display ;)

Winged creatures - AnneS

I'm playing catch-up after completing a large project with a tight deadline.  Here's my choice for January ... Eeek from the Bump in the Night chart by The Prairie Schooler.

Cheryl's February Candy Corn

Halloween Collage by Sharon Pope
Instead of stitching an ornament this month, I pulled out my "Halloween Collage" sampler and stitched 6 little pieces of candy corn.

Here is what the entire sampler looks like:

You can find the chart in the Just Cross Stitch 2014 Halloween Issue.
Happy Stitching!

Stephanie's Candy Corn

"Treats" by Lizzie Kate, a super fun & fast stitch
I do wish the hand dyed thread (GAST Tomato) was a bit more variegated!  Oh, well...

Gwen: January Winged Creature

It seems Ana Christina and I were of the same mind. My winged 'creature' is a raven.

Tamra's January Winged Creature

Hi All!

For the theme of Winged Creatures I decided on one of Prairie Schooler's Mini Cards.  Owl.

Have a happy stitchy month!

Stephanie's Winged Creature

Hi, I'm Stephanie, aka Ms. OhSewcrafty on my blog, YouTube, and Instagram.  As it's my first time posting here (thank you, Jo, for the invite), here's a brief intro: I'm a longtime stitcher and crafter, jack of all trades.  January's stitch was super fun and it became apparent that I will love stitching Lizzie Kate's Boo Club, it is a nice break from my BAPs.  The bat silhouetted against the moon is pretty cute.  I am using a mix of overdyed threads (the ones that seemed variegated) and the DMC subs, on Dirty belfast linen.

Cheryl's January Winged Creatures

Instead of stitching an ornament this month, I stitched some bats on my "Halloween Pumpkin" from the 2012 Just CrossStitch Halloween Issue.

I stitched all of the right-hand side border bats, only to discover that the last time I worked on it I had made a tiny mistake and was off by 2 threads.  If I had noticed, I would have only had to frog about 5 stitches and a little back stitching.  Instead, I had to frog out the entire row of bats ... yuk!   Well, I frogged them all out and restitched them.

I hope your Halloween stitching isn't driving you batty!

Jo's January Stitching - Winged Creatures

Here we are for the first post of the New Year and I'm hoping to use one of my larger pieces each month.  It will be a little bit trickier this year as I haven't planned the themes around any of my stitching!

January is Winged Creatures - Owls, Bats, Crows, Ravens etc.

There are two tiny bats on Jardin Prive's Happy Hallowe'en Night:

Here is the whole piece so far:

There were also bats on my Dracula Book Cover by Dam Good Crafts:

Here is the whole piece so far:

Next month is Candy Canes and Food so I am not sure where I will go for that.  We shall see!

October - Pumpkins

One Color Pumpkin, Bent Creek.

I live in Brazil and we don't celebrate Halloween like in Canada or USA for example. But in schools of English has some party with students at school (inside school, never in the street). I LOVE to stitch Halloween patterns because I love Halloween! I had English class when I was younger and now I am studing again.

I don't have a costume to dressing up Halloween but I have a Halloween tree with many finisheds ornaments.
